In collaboration with Aadyantara Arts Celebrating Children’s Day
At NeuroAid Rehab (NRF), we recently hosted our first integrated art and music workshop in collaboration with Aadyantara Arts, specially curated for the children of NRF on the occasion of Children’s Day. The event beautifully blended creativity, expression, and joy—bringing together the therapeutic strengths of both art and music.
The workshop began with an engaging art and craft session, where children worked on an under-the-sea themed artwork. Volunteers prepared the base materials in advance, and as the children arrived, they gathered in a common creative space. With painting, cutting, pasting, and exploring different textures, each child brought their own imagination to life. The colourful, tactile experience allowed them to express freely while enhancing fine motor and sensory skills.
After a short break, the excitement continued with a lively music jamming session. A special medley of children’s rhymes was prepared by the Aadyantara team. Volunteers led the session with energy and warmth, instantly capturing the children’s attention. Music—being a favourite among our kids—sparked joy and participation. Following the group jamming, the children had the opportunity to play the guitar, guided by volunteer, and sing their favourite rhymes.
The workshop ended with smiles, laughter, and a sense of achievement. Each child proudly carried their artwork home as a token of the day’s creativity.
This integrated experience highlighted the power of expressive arts in building connection, confidence, and happiness.
